Getting into the festive spirit, Google also introduced a live Santa tracker on its page for people to see Santa's journey. The tracker appears on the homepage with the words, "Ho ho ho, here we go! Follow Santa’s journey around the world" written.
The tracker shows the distance Santa has travelled around the world till now and the gifts they have delivered. The live tracker also shows the next stop that the Santa is going to arrive in.
Google put up the doodle on Christmas Day, which is celebrated all over the world on December 25. Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ.
It is observed primarily as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world.
People celebrate the festival by decorating their homes with shiny lights and even put up a Christmas tree inside their homes. The holiday also involves families and friends baking plum cakes and cookies, visiting church and singing carols.
