Fire breaks out  Delhi Peeragarhi factory leaves several trapped

A fire broke out at a factory in Delhi's Peeragarhi in the early hours of Thursday. During rescue operations a blast occurred, causing the collapse of the factory building in which several people, including fire brigade personnel, are still trapped.

 

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said he is closely monitoring the situation after a building collapsed following a blast in a factory that caught fire in Delhi's Peeragarhi.

A total of 35 fire tenders have now been rushed to the spot. Personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are also at the spot to conduct rescue operations.
