Andhra Pradesh police hires Yamraj to ask people to stay at home

Indian Police is using innovative methods to make people stay inside their homes during the lockdown. From singing to wearing helmets that look like novel coronavirus, the police officials are trying every method to make people understand the intensity of the situation.

But Andhra Pradesh Police took things to the next level. On Wednesday, they brought in Yamraj himself along with Chitragupta to spread the message of staying home. India Today journalist Aashish shared a video with the caption, "Yamaraj has advice for you!! Sudhakar Reddy CI Dhone Rural of Kurnool Dist took the help of drama artist to create #Covid-19 awareness. Artists Balija, Sankar and Drama Sekhar gave an impressive performance. #AndhraPradesh #AndhraFightsCorona #Lockdown21."

The 24-second video shows a man dressed as Yamraj sitting on the bonnet of a police car. He is accompanied by Chitragupta and another man, dressed in black clothes and make-up, portraying death. Or in this case the novel coronavirus. In the video, Yamraj can be heard saying, "If your karma is bad, come to the roads and if you want to be happy stay inside the house. Chitragupta, who logs people’s sins, is ready to register your sins. He is also advising people to stay inside with their family."
